CLU Institute
We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Senior Manager, Accreditation & Audit to join our team. This position will be responsible for managing content accreditation services as a revenue generating service to the CLU Institute as well as conducting an annual CE audit for Institute designation holders (CLU® and RHU).

The major challenges of this position will be to effectively manage and communicate the CE accreditation process and audit service with clarity and consistency to designation holders, corporate partners, regulators and education providers. To analyze program materials submitted for content accreditation and ensure that all accreditations and audit services are conducted in a manner consistent with defined protocols. To effective manage budgets, ensuring that revenue targets are met, and provide detailed reporting and analysis.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze learning programs submitted for content accreditation against the Practice Guidelines for Financial Advisors and Planners to confirm whether or not they deliver competency-based learning for financial advisors. This comprehensive review must follow the Accreditation Decision Criteria and result in the approval or decline of programs and a determination of the number of credits for which a program qualifies.
• Manage the accreditation process for learning programs. Includes training, monitoring (including feedback) of external content reviewers for quality control. Provide ongoing and detailed reporting & analysis on the effectiveness of processes.
• Manage the audit process of CLU Institute designation holders and to determine compliance with designation CE requirements. Work collaboratively with other areas within the Institute to provide appropriate communications and implementation of resolution plans where required. Provide ongoing and detailed reporting and analysis of the effectiveness of processes.
• Manage the processing of applications with respect to of the defined fee structure and in consideration of corporate agreements and reporting.
• Manage the CE Accreditation website content to keep it current with policies and procedures; updating tools, as developed, for education providers. Ensure clarity of wording and coordinate with Creative Services to ensure updates are posted in a timely manner.
• Lead the quality assurance efforts to ensure consistent and fair protocols in accreditation and auditing. Review and advise on appeals that need to be escalated. This requires ongoing education and communication with stakeholders, and keeping current on all industry jurisdiction and organization CE requirements.

Qualifications Include:

• Designated financial planner/advisor in good standing (minimum CFP and/or CLU)
• 10 years of experience, with excellent working technical knowledge, in the Canadian financial services industry
• 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
 Program evaluation (quality assurance)
 Development of financial services learning content (courses, CE programs, test questions)
 Providing learning support services to financial planners
 Delivering training or supervising content experts
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to explain technical details around financial planner competencies and to justify decisions
• 3 years of experience dealing with Regulators and Governing bodies preferred
