The RBC Dominion Securities Branch located in Edmonton, AB is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager, with a minimum of 2 years experience as an Investment Advisor. The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for overall branch profitability while meeting strategic targets through: sales management, human resource management, operations control and supervision of compliance. They provide leadership and support to Investment Advisors and support staff in hiring, training and motivating. They assess performance; provide appropriate developmental opportunities, coaching and feedback as required. The Assistant Branch Manager also promotes the firm’s corporate image by developing and maintaining business relationships throughout RBC Financial Group and within their respective communities.

Key Accountabilities include:
-Clearly demonstrate effective management and supervision of all compliance issues and responsibilities on a daily basis
-Clearly demonstrate behaviors which motivate all employees for greatest results including, personal development, recognition and promotion
-Ability to resolve difficult problems effectively by looking beyond the obvious solution
-Develops actionable feedback for Investment Advisors and support staff, whether it is positive or corrective
-Engage in high performance coaching with each Investment Advisor
-Provide effective and consistent communication

Knowledge/Experience:
-Experience in developing & motivating people and having managerial courage
-Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
-Ability to recruit and source new sales staff prospects
-Able to deal with Ambiguity and conflict management
-Superior written and oral communication skills
-Ability to make difficult decisions
-Excellent entrepreneurial skills
-Timely Decision Making & Priority Setting
-Approachability
-Ability to delegate
-A high degree of current market activity knowledge is also essential
-Require a minimum of 2 yrs experience in an Investment Advisor role
-CSC, CPH, BM license preferred
